We have spoken of the unique prophetic view as a prophecy in retrospect.  We can also speak of a "looking through prophecy".  Here in pictorial and symbolic language are placed in view the individual steps that lead to "sin", that means to separation ("separating-from") from God and God's love.  Only symbolic mythical language is appropriate for pointing to the depth of this mystery.
